According to my friends who grew up in Brandon, the name of this group is Vegas. The guy on the right is Jim Weatherly who dated a girl from Brandon while they were at Ole Miss. The girl was Mary Ann Mobley's sister. Jim is now a famous songwriter having written Midnight Train to Georgia and Rolling on the River just to name two of his many hits. He grew up in Pontotoc where we live. This town is so proud of him and celebrated Jim Weatherly Day just a few months ago. Since Pontotoc is near Tupelo, that explains the Tupelo photographer. Jim was also an outstanding athlete and played quarterback at Ole Miss.
