Hoping no one had any major damage from Barry. Hated to see all those flood prone areas get hit once again. The good news is that we have a temporary break from the oppressive heat.

We have a big weekend coming up in Forest. Many of you will be traveling. Please be careful and take your time. Remember that this is supposed to be a break, a reset, a renewal.

Last minute arrangements are being made. If your plans have changed about attending Friday night dinner at the Gallery, please let me know. We are almost at capacity and would like to be able to seat as many as we can. Dinner will be served at 6:30. Doors will open at 6:00 pm. Keep the heat in mind.

Our Nabs n Coke Party will start 1:30 pm Saturday. As in the past, if you have a fan you can bring for the porch...it will help. We will all work to keep doors of Kk Closed as much as possible to save A/c.

Kel and I are so interested in how many of you have attended EVERY Nabs n Coke Party! Quite a few! Our first one was in 2011 at Roosevelt Park. Then there are others who got a late start but say that once they came, they have never missed another. Ever thought about WHY??? Be thinking about that. It’s certainly NOT the comfortable weather or the “lovely decorations”....shoot....not even free food!! So just be thinking about what it is that makes us want to make the effort, go to extra expense, and drive or fly the distances, just to come back. I’m betting it’s a similar response.
