... about 1953 or so, we had a may pole down at the old football field. As I remember, we went down there and there were strips of crepe paper hanging from the top of the pole and the teachers told us how to go around and plait the paper as we did so. I had no earthly idea why we were doing that but we did it. Anyone else remember this?
