Let’s see how many Bearcats can come to the FHS Reminiscing Photo Site (on FaceBook) this coming Saturday at 1:30 Central!! That would have been NABS PARTY TIME at KATS KAVE! This virtual party will simply be an opportunity to post while other Bearcats are online at the same time. No live pictures so you don’t even have to brush your hair. Just post and say hello. As many of you know, Coach Risher was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in February. He has been undergoing weekly chemo treatments since his diagnosis. He is at home but the treatments are no fun. We would like to dedicate this virtual Nabs Party to him. Glenda Sessions Brown has just posted an album of the FHS 1970 Championship Football Team. The team was coached by Gary Risher. He played such an important role at FHS as coach, teacher, mentor and friend. And beyond. He has been faithful to Bearcats all these years and a very important part of our Nabs Parties. Please take a minute to send him a card or note to encourage him as he fights this battle. I’m sure he would appreciate hearing from all Bearcats whether you played football or not. And, of course, please remember him and Nelda in your prayers. I’m not posting his home address on this site but will be happy to send to you privately if you email me. However it is posted on the FB site since that is a private page.
