The Year of 2020"
It has been a challenging year, but as you said Kaye, alot of good has come out of this. We were Blessed with the arrival of a new grandson. Yes, we didn't see him for several months after his birth because he had to be delivered in Boston due to his heart condition and other medical problems. Mike pointed out that we would not have realized some friends of ours were in need if it hadn't been for COVID. I know during the time that we were keeping/sharing our grandchildren we realized that had their parents not gone to Boston for baby Sam's sake, we wouldn't have spent such quality and QUANTITY time with them. We really got to know those special grandkids and help them and us through a difficult time. While staying at our kids home for several months we witnessed the special acts of kindness of friends, family and strangers. The entire time, friends of our daughter and son-in-law brought meals over, carpooled kids for us, prayed for us, helped with yard work and on and on. We were overwhelmed with the kindness of people. I will really notice and help more when I hear of people having a need. It has been an eye opener year for us for sure! Our grandson is back in Mississippi for a short while and will return to Boston for open heart surgery. I will return to keep the grandkids (along with the other grandparents) when this happens. Yes, it is very stressful and exhausting but so Blessed to be able to help them. I know I can look back on 2020 and its challenges but mostly for it's Blessings. I don't know what 2021 will bring, but I do know that God has walked every step with us and will continue to see us through. May God Bless and be with you all in the coming year! Love you Bearcats!
