When I came to our 50th class reunion in 2016, I drove out to the Forest Country Club to see how it looked. I met Don again on #7 and we talked and took some pictures. I started playing golf in 1961 and the McCravey family, Bill, Dick and Don Triplett always had time to let me play 9 holes with them before sunset. Don was always energetic and walked at a brisk pace. He would pick up a score card and add it up without a pencil. To this day, I do that the same way. Roy Brantley, Tom Brantley and John Allen Roby all helped me learn and appreciate the game of golf. Still playing @ 70. God bless you Don.

Donald Triplett, one of a kind some kind of sweet. Lived across the street and on the same street later. Always kind to my Mother at the bank. The "Forest Jewel"! Pure love!!!

This was a beautiful tribute to Don Triplett, his family and the role Forest played in his special life! Outstanding protrayal of a small town and loving someone different.

Does anyone remember Bobcat.He also was autistic I believe.He always had candy he would offer to everyone.If I remember correctly his favorite hang out was at Mr. Pryor's service station.

I remember Bobcat, I can just picture him. Now saying that I draw a blank. Somewhere in my pea brain, I think he was from the Cash community - maybe something to do with Mr. Renfroe who managed the NAPA store in the Gaddis Shopping Center.

I keep think on this?

I remember Bobcat, too! think he was from somewhere up around Harperville. Only place I ever remember seeing him was at Mr. Pryor's City Service Station. He was a kind soul, much like Don and was always happy, and I do remember him with individual wrapped hard candy in his pocket, always trying to share. Never knew his name or anything but Mr. Pryor was always good to him....
