FYI...Nabs Party Accommodations

IF you think you will need overnight accommodations in Forest for one or both nights of Nabs Weekend (Jul 19-20) I suggest you book ASAP. Many of us stay at Holiday Inn Express on Hwy 35 So. When I booked our room, they indicated that they are already filling up for that weekend. I have better luck calling the local number (601) 469-8288 instead of 800 number. They have a generous cancellation policy so if you book early and need to cancel, you have plenty of time to do that. Holiday Inn Express is not the only hotel in that same area, but I honestly don’t know the names of the others. I think the names have changed. Maybe someone local could add those hotels and phone numbers here. Thanks.

I’ve had calls and texts from FHSers who called Holiday Inn Ex in Forest and were told it is already sold out. That’s not accurate. As of 10 minutes ago, there are still rooms available. Ask for Erika. (601) 469-8288 She will be there until 3:00 this afternoon. Be sure to mention that you are with Nabs Party Reunion.

Sherry, good news on the hotel reservations. Just to be clear, no reservations are needed for Sat LUNCH. Its just that the Oak is not usually open on Saturdays, but they agreed to open Saturday Jul 20 just because it’s Nabs Saturday. They will offer walk in service, no reservations, with their normal sandwich/salad menu.
However, Friday Night Dinner at Gatewood’s absolutely requires reservations because we have limited space and it is catered. We have not started taking reservations for that yet because we have a few more details to work out.

Trying to get more things confirmed this week. The Oak has agreed to open on Saturday for lunch before Nabs Party at KK at 1:30.

Kaye, thanks for helping me get a room reserved after I was told that the Holiday Inn was sold out for Nabs weekend. Erika got the situation straightened out after you called.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help before and/or during that weekend. You, Kelly, and several others do so much to make Bearcat weekend so special to so many. We appreciate it.
