Another Bearcat gone

Last night, Linda Wright Brantley, class of 1962, died suddenly. She was married to Dan Brantley for many years.

I always enjoyed visiting with Linda at our FHS gatherings! She will be greatly missed. Prayers for Dan and their family.

I would run into Dan and Linda attending grandchildrens events and they were always so excited to see someone from Forest. They were a very talented couple and so very nice. Linda was my music teacher when I was in sixth grade. She was a very sweet lady. My prayers for Dan and the girls and grandchildren.

Linda's service is set for Thursday afternoon, 1:00, Hillcrest Church, 3790 Hwy 35 South, Forest.

Linda was the pianist at Forest Pres. when I was the pastor there. Uber talented! Often - as in a lot! - she would, for the offertory, make up music. And I don't mean she just played a few chords over and over. It had theme, and whatever else would make instrumental music real music. And she would play it in one key and then change to another and then change to another as the theme would build. I mean, she was really good!
