Today - Thurs. -Creative Christmas at Forest National Guard Armory

The armory is warm while you shop for fresh bread, desserts made by Lackey Hospital Auxiliary and Homewood ladies, see crafts. Bring ribbon and the garden club makes bows. Health companies usually take blood pressure and offer free blood test for Diabetes. Admission is $1.00.

Bread lady sold out - 50 loaves! The booth beside me had 25 cent serving of Southern Caviar made with beans, corn. little bits of red onion and bell pepper, marinated in Italian dressing with Frito scoops' Perfect snack! Across the room, Morton Homemakers had brownies and shrimp ettoufie (misspelled). I bought an oak Christmas tree. It was a pleasant day! I gave bags of Sawtooth Oak acorns and their caps. Someone questioned whether they were Sawtooth Oak. I search Internet to find out they were Sawtooth Burr Oak! Learn something every day.
