So sorry to hear that Gloria Simmons Dayton’s husband, Glen, has died. No details at this time, but I wanted Bearcats to know. They have attended several of our Nabs gatherings in recent years. If anyone gets more information please let us know.

OBITUARY Glenn Richard Dayton, Sr., 70, of Bostic, NC was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord on June 16, 2020. He left us suddenly, with his wife at his side, in South Dakota while traveling home from a trip to meet his newest grandbabies and embrace time with family. Glenn was born April 5, 1950 in Schenectady, NY to the late Philip Gordon Dayton and Mary Jane Meyers Dayton. He attended Homewood-Flosswood High School and graduated with a degree in psychology from Western Illinois University. Glenn enjoyed a talented career in computer technology, retiring as a vice president from NCR and again as director of the western US from Unisys. He was a founding member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Woodstock, GA. Glenn married Gloria Simmons, the red haired girl of his dreams, on October 7, 1994. For twenty-five years, they shared a palpable love and deep devotion for each other, enjoying many travels and countless blessings with their beloved children, grandchildren, friends and family. Glenn is remembered as a kind and gentle soul, a man of great integrity, warmth and compassion who was respected and loved by so many who had the honor to know him in this life. He was a master of technology; a lover of puns, gadgets, and pizza. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Richard Dayton, Jr. Left to honor his memory are his wife, Gloria of Bostic, NC; children, Marc Dayton (Heather) of Spokane Valley, WA; Gent Simmons of Jonkoping, Sweden; Melissa Greenlee (Keith) of Kennesaw, GA; Michelle Walker (Chris) of Chandler, AZ; and Adam Dayton (Megan) of Ennis, TX; grandchildren Elizabeth Simmons, Madison Clark, Ellana Simmons, Blake Dayton, Lance Greenlee, Colton Dayton, Savannah Dayton, Rose Walker, Aspen Dayton, Reese Walker; great granddaughter Nala Simmons; his best friend, Dean Deibert; and his special little buddy, Wylie. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the March of Dimes or to your local Humane Society.
