In 1969, Dr. Milton Walker came to Forest High School as a tall lanky young man to become the FHS Boys Basketball Coach and a year later became the Principal of Forest High School. A finer role model for the students in the Bearcat nation at that time could not be found in the education world. He was an outstanding leader of our school, a devoted supporter of our community and a fine Christian man. It is with great sadness that I inform Bearcats of the death of Dr. Walker on Saturday January 9, 2021. He retired from his education career and lived in Brandon. The last time I saw "Hoot" Walker was at the celebration this year for the 1970 Little Dixie Champion Football Team. "Once a Bearcat;Always a Bearcat".

Thank you, Nancy. We didn’t know all that. Beautiful tribute.
