Thanks for the heads up regarding the surprise images on the sunset photo. I don’t know what there were because when I clicked nothing happened. But I didn’t want to take a chance. Thx.

It was just a strange hodgepodge of stuff when I clicked in order to get a closer view of the sunset. It appeared to be from another site (did the picture come through a third-party site?). I think it was ads maybe, like a huge stomach drooping over--perhaps for weight loss. Lol The craziness of the internet!

Yes, Panzey, since PhotoBucket started charging 299.00 a year to host our photos, I had to start looking for other ways. That’s why Glenda Brown took the time to archive and organize all of our past photos on the FB FHS REMINISCING PHOTO PAGE. It’s free and photos are much easier to post on FB. In order to post here, the photo has to be “hosted” and given a code to link here. Kinda complicated and no longer free. So if we use the posting option listed as an option on this page (“upload image”) photos CAN be posted here…no extra charge….but you run the risk of getting ads. And who knows what they will be. I’m guessing I did not see them when I clicked on the image because I was the one who had posted. It’s tricky. And if anything ever pops up that is obscene, I apologize in advance and appreciate a quick warning. I assure you the ads, whatever they were, were not directed toward any particular audience….

Oh, my goodness, Kaye, no need for you to apologize. There wasn't anything obscene. My comment was mostly tongue in cheek. I know absolutely nothing about photo sites and I was just startled to see the unexpected pictures when I clicked on yours. I understand better after reading your explanation as to why ads would appear. So many online ads seem to lean toward sensationalism or anything shocking enough to grab our attention. Irritating but we have to pay one way or another, I suppose. I haven't said it in awhile, so I'll say it now: thank you for all your efforts in continuing this site.
