FLORIDA STORM (Milton)

Unfortunately we have a second storm that will hit soon. Maybe news of our Bearcats in Milton’s path can be posted here. Remember that not everyone who reads this site reads Facebook….so if you hear from Bearcats on FB…you can share it here. Praying that all of our Bearcat buddies are safe. We are thinking about you. Be safe.

WE live 30 miles north of downtown TPA. WE are hunkered down and have anchored everything as much as possible. WE have lived here 43 years and this is our first real hurricane. Most likely we will loose power but both vehicles have wifi. Will update as much as possible. This is a scary storm!

Tommy….when we lived in FL we also had two major hurricanes in one season. But not this ominous. Cat 3’s at landfall. This scares me. If you are north of the city, are you east or west of the Interstate….i think it’s 275/75? I would think you are not in danger of storm surge but with so much rainfall and wind still very dangerous. Glad you will have some wifi even if you lose power. I’m just learning that iPhones 14 and later have satellite wifi for emergency. I don’t have a 14 but if you do…..Google that while you can.
Hunker down and know that you have Bearcat buddies watching weather maps with you. Praying for safety for you and the entire area.

Storm made landfall near Sarasota (Siesta Key) Proabaly 50 miles south of TPA. . Lots of rain and lots of wind but not nearly as bad as expected. So far we have power Thanks for your concerns and prayers.
