Bill Bishop class of 1968

Bill Bishop passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening (Dec. 10) at his home in Richland, MS. Services will be held Monday, December 16th, starting 1:00pm at Sebrell Funeral Home. The website is sebrellfuneralhome.com

I spent several evenings with Bill and other in the Attic. Bill was a great guy. It’s always sad to hear of a Bearcat passing especially one you knew well. Rest easy my friend.

So sorry to hear this. Bill was part of a crowd of us who hung out from elementary school through high school. We had a sort of clubhouse in the attic of his grandmother's house during the high school years...many adventures, good memories. Bill was one of a kind and a good friend. Sincerest condolences to his family.

Bill grew up on Bailey Avenue not far from my house. His mother was the sister to Mrs. Thomas who taught typing. Growing up we all visited each others home. Praying for his family

Bob, it’s hard to lose old friends, isn’t it. It’s like a part of ourselves just melting away. I have a good longtime Bearcat friend who says….”everytime we lose an old friend, that’s one fewer person we can share a memory with.” So true.

So sorry to hear of Bill’s passing away. Bill and I shared a tragic event in both our lives that his obituary mentions. His dad died of a heart attack in Oct of 1960, and my dad died the next month of a heart attack. We both have missed our dads most of our lives.
May God comfort his family as only He can.

I am so sorry to learn of Bill’s passing. His family and loved ones will be in our thoughts and prayers.
