Bobby Calvery, Class of ‘66

I am sad to report that Bobby Calvery, Class of ‘66, passed away today. He had been having health issues for several years. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

These are always very sad to hear. Bobby was a great guy and it is sad to see it end in this manner. My prayers are with Joan and the rest of the family.

We have lost several Bearcats the last week or so. All of them are just good people. As you look back over this site, we have been so blessed to grow up in Forest with all these wonderful people. Now, we are losing our friends, yes friends! Bearcats have a totally different meaning of friendship than the rest it the world.
We all grew up together, fussed , had fights, and now we are old , we have a love for one another that is had to find. Bobby was a good guy, always willing to help anyone one in need, rest in peace my dear friend. I miss your brother Lloyd too. God bless the Forest Bearcats, love you all.

Very, very well spoken, Jimmy. And I could tell it was all heartfelt. Also a beautiful tribute to Bobby who was in band with many of us.

Oh Glenda. This is so sad. Many of us will remember Bobby from band all those years. I really hate that he was never able to get to a Nabs Party. He often mentioned that he wanted to. I had not heard from him in a long time but he was very active in keeping up with us on FHS Rem and also communicated with Hal and Joyce Polk quite often before they passed away. I think he had health issues even then. Thank you for letting us know.

Bobby played clarinet, and I was in his squad when I was in 7th or 8th grade. He was a nice guy.
