Went to a large antique market in Lawrenceburg, IN last weekend, last year when we went I found several nice glasses, this time was not much to get as far as glasses - I did buy some Elsie glasses for $5, and a couple Flintstones glasses for my collection.
I did get a neat whiskey glass today at the flea mkt, it had such neat graphics I could not pass it up for a dollar. It had White Label, Ballantine's, Long John, and King George IV scotch whisky logos, in black and turquoise colors. "Whisky" is how it is spelled on 3 diff places on the glass. It also has "produce of Scotland" instead of "product of Scotland". textured bottom, scotch on the rocks size glass.
I have had numerous interesting whiskey or hard liquor glasses over the years, always thought it would be a fun thing to collect, but I have enough glasses as it is! I do drink from my two
PM (Pleasant Moments) Rye Whiskey glasses all the time but usually with water or juice, not rye. I cannot find PM in the liquor stores in my area, not sure they sell it anymore. It was a low priced Rye Whiskey. would go to the Blarney Stone in downtown Manhattan in the early 70's and order up a PM after work.
