I have bought several paintings from this auction house, they are very well respected, accurate and honest. THEY DO NOT SHIP THE ITEMS - if you cannot attend the auction or go to their auction house in 7 days to pick up the items, you would have to arrange for a "shipper" to go there to pack and ship the items to you, which I would think would be expensive. I have only used the absentee bid form and if I won an item I would then drive up within a couple days and pick it up. They also charge a high 20% buyer's premium.
Here is the description, and one of the many pictures from the auction. What I cannot tell is if the glasses are just the "normal" glasses or are some kind of samples or something?
Thanks. Hope I did not spoil anyone's attempt to bid and buy, but since this is a pretty obscure auction site, I thought perhaps some well financed collectors might have an interest.
In the event that any collectors I know are winning bidders, I have put a couple small bids on a couple Gulliver's travels movie items (not glasses) and may go up next week to Elgin to get them if I am the winning bidder.
Here is the description from the web site catalog.
