I just got my glasses out of storage and had special shelves to display them. I'm having a showing of my wall of glasses to show my friends.I don't know if this will help but this was part of my invitation.
1973 PEPSI-COLA WARNER BROTHERS SERIES
This is probably the most popular Pepsi collector glass series. Despite being called and having 1973 on the glass, this series did not come out until 1975. It started being offered in upstate New York at a restaurant chain called Carroll’s, now known as Burger King. The “Buy a Pepsi & Keep the Glass” promotion, originally consisted of 6 glasses. These characters were Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Sylvester, Tweety and the Road Runner. Their names were under their pictures in black letters, and made by the Brockway Glass Company in New York. These glasses were offered in both the 5” (12oz) and the 6” (16oz) size.
The promotion became so popular that other restaurants selling Pepsi wanted in on the action. The increased demand gave birth to two more sets of six. Since Brockway could not produce enough glasses to meet the demand, another glass company, Federal, out of Ohio was enlisted. Of course, two different companies meant two different style glasses.
The Brockway has a heavy glass shell, and the Federal has a thin shell. The next change happened when it finally dawned on someone that with the black letters, when filled with Pepsi Cola, you could no longer read the character’s name. The names were then changed to white letters. Up until now, all the glasses were known as LOS (logo on side) glasses, until the LUN (logo under name) made their appearance. All said and done they ended up with 5 different size glasses. 16oz LOS Brockway b/w.,16oz LOS Federal b/w, 15oz LUN Federal, 12oz LUN Brockway, 12oz LUN Federal.
