Re: welch's Flintstones
I do not know if there is a definite source that says which glass company made the FLintstones jelly jars in the 1960's. I have found a few years ago, and put into the Collector Glass News, a photo of a Howdy Doody jelly jar glass, which was from 1953 approx, with a Hazel Atlas mark on the bottom of the glass - instead of an embossed face. It might have been a mistake, or a sample - on that very slim evidence I would think that Hazel Atlas made at least some of the Howdy Doody glasses. Their company (Hazel Atlas) was very strong in the field of what they called "packer" or "packing" glasses - food product containers. They made a lot of the jars that are found with Davy Crockett, Nursery Rhymes, Song Series, etc glasses so they are a good candidate. I would love to find out if anyone has more information.
