I enjoyed going there and bought ONE glass there, and a few depression glass items for my wife Mary.
I don't think I increased interest in the club, but it was worth a try. I have a "reduced" sample issue of collector glass news, and an intro sheet for the club that I made up, and I can email the PDF for the sample Collector Glass News and the word or text file of the intro sheet, if anyone would want to use them as an advertising item for the club, at a show they attend. I can also postal mail a CD with this information. The one thing I think I missed, about doing this promo for the club, was I should have brought about a dozen or 2 dozen cheap but neat cartoon glasses like McDonald's, Smurfs, Snoopy, etc and given them out to the kids that attended with their parents or family - there were quite a few, at least a dozen kids there and I think it would have been fun to give them each a glass. I did give out the Scooby Doo club glass to a family group with four kids, that was helping out one of the dealers there, the kids were there for at least a couple hours and I saw their mom there, helping out the dealer most of the day - so thought I would reward them with a cool Scooby Doo glass, they thought it was neat.
Finally - Mike - THANKS for coming and much appreciate the 3 cool glasses you got for me!
