here is info ...
I had posted awhile ago about a guy in Ohio who has a LARGE collection of glasses - inherited from his father, and he would like to sell the entire collection - as one large group, not in pieces. I was able to view the boxes at his garage, and check out approx. 50 or 60 of the boxes - was not enough time or ability to see all the glasses, as I am not able to try to buy the collection. I asked him to give me a count of the boxes (which were hand compartment boxes made by his father - the boxes range from 10 glasses, to mostly 20 or 24 glasses, to max of 30 glasses per box) and he said today there were 550 boxes. FIVE HUNDRED AND FIFTY boxes. I saw the garage it was packed to the rafters and there were 100+ boxes in a mini barn also. If anyone in the PGCA is wanting to contact him, please email me at bricall@att.net or post here (I prefer email but will try to monitor this post) and I can either forward your info which should include phone number, or ask him if he would like to have your phone number to contact you. As noted the collection is in OHIO. I can say the condition of the glasses I saw was great, nice, glossy, not any noted problems for the glasses I saw. I saw lots of Super Heroes, Pepsi glasses, Warner Bros, Flintstones, Welchs, Coke, sports, PBG, cartoons, etc. saw some rd btm super hero, thin 7-11 super hero, Slow Poke. Henery, Sad Sack, Jungle book, Little Lulu, and obviously there were massive amts of boxes I did not see. Also quite a few boxes of common glasses and/or just plain weird obscure glasses and mugs, etc. I will plan on putting this info into the next issue of Collector Glass News also. There was a long delay in him being ready to get the glasses all together and available for sale and to view, but he says he is now ready to try to sell them. thanks. I am only wanting, at this time, to forward his contact information to PGCA members. thanks.
