As glassnert auction #141 is coming to a close this evening, we are almost ready to finish up on auction #142 that will be posting in about 15 days. Here are some thoughts and ideas that we are working on for the future. We would appreciate your thoughts, ideas and comments.
This auction is one of two summertime auctions that we will be having and thus the item number is smaller than our normal auctions. In addition to our regular auctions we are also looking at going to a program we had several years ago that we termed “weekly auctions”. These auctions will start on Friday and end on Thursday evenings at 9 PM central time, with 100 items each week. Normally items in these auctions will have values of less than $40 each. We will experiment with one of these in July and see how it goes on our new system. Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated
By the end of the year we will be running short on better merchandise to auction and are always looking for good quality items to place in the auction. If you are interested in placing items in the auction please contact us at glassnert@bellsouth.net
Because of our advancing age, during the next two years we will be looking for someone to take over and run this auction for the benefit of the glass collecting community. If interested contact us by phone 901-219-9855 or by email at glassnert@bellsouth.net.
We also have a program where you may auction off 100 to 300 of your own glasses by using our platform. With our help you would be responsible for listing the glasses, accepting payment and shipping the glasses. Please contact us if something like this sounds feasible for your situation.
