Re: Carnage in Paris
I was in Manhattan at work that morning. I started at 7:00 am. Someone came in an announced a plane had hit the Towers and like you, thought of the Empire State accident. Calling home for news, the second plane hit while I was on the phone and my husband begged me to leave at once. I was on the last train to leave Manhattan and just as we left the tunnel at Hunters Point, the first tower went down as we watched. The train was filled with Trade Center people turning around to go home and the screams brought Dante's Inferno to mind. I will never forget that ride as people relayed what was happening in Washington and Pa. I never go into the City since then that the thought doesn't go through my mind and I only go when its unavoidable. Yes, the writing is on the wall and it doesn't help to have a President who identifies himself with an Islamic connection.
