Good food is an important part of a good cruise but the food on Divina was not really meant for adults. 'Burgers and fries and Hot-Dogs were featured prominently. It was a menu meant for kids and there were kids aplenty. Being an Italian ship, there were many varieties of pasta but the pasta was a bit over-cooked and the taste was bland.
At our first dinner, we were seated at a table meant for six but the other guests never materialized. It was creepy and the food was very ordinary so we spent the rest of the cruise grazing at the buffet. I managed to add four lbs. to me but a week on my very low carb, 1,500 calories a day diet will quickly correct the problem.
And speaking of kids: There was a time I could shrug off the high decibel shriek of an un happy youngster but now that awful noise just grates. As already stated, there were many kids and many shrieks and I'm no longer very tolerant. It must be advancing age.
So now we're all cruised out. We're glad to be home and as a home coming gift a Jets football game is on TV tonight, something important to grab on to. Tomorrow morning the gym, and my comfortable, familiar routine will begin again and comfortable, familiar ain't so bad.
