If they did not have a top ten pick… for a so-called sure-fire franchise QB…..
If they thought the QBs in the late first and second rounds were mehhh….
Then at that point a QB with upside and has shown poise in the pocket…
A QB that the Packers have invested years improving his footwork, throwing motion and seriously working to up his quick diagnosis of the opposing D ……
Then a 3rd or 2nd round pick would seem cheap. With a fifth year option used to spin his wheels and then choose to resign if he’s the guy …..
Why wouldn’t they go for it? IMO most GMs would be evaluating that as a pretty good value pick.
