Maybe ML keeps a guy like Berry cause he knows if he hires a guy like Evero and the defense suddenly plays beyond all expectations that then he will be plucked from the staff for a head coach job the next coach carousel cycle. Then he would have to start all over and find a new defensive coordinator.

With Barry, the defense did seem to improve the last six weeks of the season, until the last game, but if he cam somehow put it all together and get them to play like a top defense, there is little to no chance that he will ever be poached from the Packers to become someone's head coach
