Another way to look at it is looking at this class compared to previous classes.

Will Anderson would be EDGE1 in 2022, Jalen Carter would be IDL1, and Bryce Young would be QB1. But outside of that, how many guys would be number 1 for their prospective position in last year's class?

CB Devon Witherspoon and Christian Gonzolez < CB Derek Stingly and CB Sauce Gardner
OT Peter Skoronski and Paris Johnson < OT Ikem Ekwonu or OT Evan Neal
Every 2023 WR < Drake London, Chris Olave, Garret Wilson, and Jameson Williams

The closest, and most interesting IMO, is S Brian Branch vs 2022 S Kyle Hamilton. Branch is no question a safer pick by Hamilton is just such a freak athlete with huge upside.

Again, looking specifically at the first round, this class is very unimpressive.
