While Brian Flores is nationally viewed as a great defensive mind, but down in Miami he wasn't viewed as a great head coach. He did not capture the respect of a lot of players in that locker room. Burned a lot of bridges.
Interest note though, and I was shocked to find this, you know what you don't see when you look at Brian Flores resume? You don't see the words, "Defensive Coordinator". He's never been one. He's been a Linebacker Coach, Safety Coach, Defensive Assistant, even a Senior Defensive Assistant, but never a DC.
So will Flores flourish as he did as a defensive assistant? Or will he flounder as he did as a head coach.
