From the outside looking in (and I follow the NFC a lot more than the AFC) Brian Flores (like a lot of defensive head coaches) seemed to absolutely suck on offense...

But the Dolphins defense seemed to do well... also the Patriots defenses Flores was on did an absolutely great job of limiting the wide zone offenses which have taken over the league. Those Bill Belichick and Patriots defenses seem to do better against them than just about anyone and the Vikings, Packers and Bears now all use the Wide Zone systems.


And yes, Flores never had the coordinator title... but that's because Belichick and Patriots stopped using the defensive coordinator title (I'm not sure why), but still today, they don't have a defensive coordinator title.


Flores supposively run the defensive and had the coordinator role duties, even if he did not have the title.
