I was just reading something from ( Pro Football Talk ) which I rarely agree with and am not a fan of Viking homer Mike Florio .
But he says the Packers have more leverage now after Rodgers stated today that he is going to come back next season and plans on playing for the Jets . As he put it , the Packers have reason to be in a rush . In fact if the trade is made after June 1st it works better for the Packers cap space .

Now if the Packers are going to get the Jets # 1 pick in this years draft they would want that before the draft at the end of April . But if the Jets are going to low ball them anyway way and the Packers except that ( which they had better not ) then way not wait until after June 1st .


We shall see what happens. In my view I expect we will hear final details within the next couple weeks at the most .
