This article suggests the Packers and Jets are moving closer but neither is in a rush. It also suggest the Packers want a 1st round value, but the Jets don't want to give up pick #13 this year.

Which I assume they'll use #13 on an OT which they need and at least one of the top 3 are expected to drop to them.

The article suggests possibly the Jets 2nd and 3rd rounders (which might equal a really late 1st rounders) instead, of if the Packers are set on an actual 1st rounder than the Jets 2024 1st rounder.


I thought they nailed it with this comment

"Another executive said the Jets have the leverage in the negotiations – they’d practically be doing the Packers a favor by helping them escape the contract – but not overwhelming leverage because they’ve painted themselves into a corner. It’s Rodgers or bust. And now that Rodgers is publicly onboard, the Jets absolutely, positively have to seal the deal."


Both execs thought the Packers would get a first-rounder.
