I agree that I don't believe STs are 1/3 of football, like some claim, especially since they basically limited kick off returns.

But they can absolutely be game changers if either make big errors as the Packers have found out multiple times in playoffs games, potentially costing them two Super Bowl appearances.


I believe we only have 6 RBs... but yeah, I had some hope for K Parker White to compete even if he didn't win, and .maybe the ST coaches have some inside sources, but the drafted Kicker Carlson, didn't exactly put up impressive numbers in college...

The most impressive thing I could find about K Carlson, was his Brother got drafted, then cut by the Vikings after missing 3 FGs against the Packers and then signed with Rich Bisaccia's Raiders and improved to NFL in points scored.



Also interesting, is that shortly before cutting the Kicker, we signed a Punter... P Daniel Whelan... which either we are just trying out, or we're letting compete against veteran P Pat O'Donnell with possibly the hope we can trade O'Donnell for a 7th (or less) and save some cap space.


So I it more as swapping a Kicker for a Punter, even though the moves happen a couple of days apart. But the RB was in the same move with the Kicker.
