It would be very interesting if Martin McCaulay paid money $50 to $600 to file trademarks just to turn them over and get nothing in return.


As far as the Commanders name goes, my understanding is that most people, including the fans, the people asked to help pick the name, and high level employees disliked the name from the get go... so they might welcome a change and deleting Snyder's name from the record book of owner whom decided the name, while the new owners get some credit for a proper rollout.


Though you also have a great point, in that they have already invested a lot, not sure you want to invest more in a new name/logo/branding/etc.
