Re: scouting, I've actually had the same thought, even dating back to the Ted Thompson era. I always felt like the scouting/personnel group that built the Super Bowl team (2005-10 era) were really great - did a really great job. But as you might recall, right after the Super Bowl, guys started leaving. Some became GM or higher ups in other orgs. One, I believe, passed on unexpectedly. But there was a real, substantial talent drain around that 2011-13 time frame. And I felt like the guys they acquired for those positions never did live up to their predecessors. And for whatever reason, they still haven't managed to rebuild that department to what it was.
