Back to the scheme part, one could argue a coach at a certain point should say, screw the scheme, I don't have time, I need chaos and a pray now, let me make some bold and unusual calls.

Which former Packers QB Kurt Benkert called for, saying not enough time left, need to go man to man, blitz and cause chaos on defense.

Of course, he also called out the offense I'm the first half, saying they need to try something different, specifically saying he's tired of pistol (half shot gun) not working.



Benkert also complained about Packers failed time management before half, not using a timeout with (I think 28 seconds left), Benkert claiming he knows the cheat sheet says use a timeout in that situation and time management errors drive him insane.


So coaches on both sides of the ball for the Packers not adjusting soon enough to something different.

That being said, Barry didn't have many options, yes he could go man, and blitz (and probably should have), BUT 2 of your four 4 CBs are out, Safeties aren't especially good, do your trust them in man coverage?


But at that point, maybe you just screw it, need to throw changes ups, and go back and force and throwing the other team off guard.
