Yeah someone asked about personnel decisions and I said I don't believe it's that, I was wrong. I saw someone else talk about this and ran that the best run defenders were not even in there.

That being said, where they available? There are 8 men in the box there, and against the Falcons Barry absolutely showed he was willing to over load with extra DL and it did not work. But some extra beef at the 2 yard line would probably be helpful.

Scheme is all nice and good, but there are certain situations (running situations) where you need to say forget the scheme, and go straight up attack and go for chaos.

Barry likes sticking to a prepared script.

I don't think Barry is a good play caller, especially for unscripted moments. That's my biggest issue with Barry, is play calling and unscripted moments.

But yeah, I'm theory, you could have another DT or Edge rusher (and Van Ness can be used as both in a 5 man line).

That being said, that also looks like a backup line (other than Slaton) and I wonder if the starters are unavailable.
