#25 CB Mitchell
Even if you don't believe Mitchell will there, one of the top 5 CBs could be there and might be very worth it.
#41 S Nubin
A big Safety, the most the instinctive Safety that makes the least mistakes in this draft and has been able to play both FS and SS. Whole he can play FS, he's not the sole deep FS. Probably not the deep lone Safety type, as he doesn't have elite range, but just about everything else.
#58 RB Brooks
Might be the best RB in this draft, but he was behind a top 10 overall RB, finally got his chance this year and did great, but also got a season ending injury. But his potential is huge and worth a risk. Also, Gute does like upside potential.
#88 OL Amegadjie
Speaking of high upside, the scouting reports on Amegadjie are they he has all the physical tools, meanness and aggressiveness to be a developmental starting OT, but his technique is sorely lacking and might need multiple years to develop the technique. Also while he has the aggression, he's over aggressive. Surely needs develop at OT, though I wonder how he might be at OG while he keeps developing for OT.
A trade back, where I basically pick up #177 (though really I got a 2024 5th round pick, but then traded that pick for #177, so it was two trades).
#93 SS Hicks
Even bigger than Nubin, and can be explosive at times, he sees something in front of him and very very aggressive triggers down and takes it out. A few even seem to think he's the best Safety in the draft, I'm not one of them as I find FS skill set more valuable and Hicks needs to keep developing his man coverage. Which he's athletic enough, just needs more experience, as he's often in zone.
#126 RG Mahogany
Physical RG that had a great 2021, a supposedly freak accident tore his ACL taking away his 2022, and 2023 was good but not quite back where he was and the Packers new defensive coordinator should have the inside scoop, plus Gute has drafted two other OGs after getting the inside scoop from a new coach from their school, though Gute usually likes really tall OL, and he's a bit short for Gute's standards, but not short for the position.
#167 RB Davis
If Aaron Jones was built more like a tank, as Davis is a half inch shorter but 10+ pounds more. Davis is very quick for his weight, but not as quick as Jones, but more power. And Davis has been used well in the passing game and comes out of a wide zone scheme. Of course, Davis offensive coordinator is now the Buccaneers offensive coordinator.
#177 DT Boyd
Dominanted small schools, and then got to the face the big school players in a pre-draft bowl and dominated them too. I truly believe Boyd will be selected higher than a lot of draft boards have him, but if he falls to the Packers later I would love it. Boyd is big, athletic and has violent hands which seems to be what the Packers look for in their pass rushers.
#203 CB McGlothern
6'2" but under 190lbs, McGlothern has been very good in zone coverage but barely average against the run. But the Packers could hope to find another above average coverage SEC CB like Valentine that just doesn't play the run well enough. Though he also might not fall this far.
#215 FS Taylor-Demerson
He's slightly undersized, but very athletic he's probably going higher than this to a team that accepts smaller guys with great movement potential. So probably not Gute.
#242 LB Magee
Jack of all trades, can be good at everything, but maybe not great at anything.
#250 Edge Byrd
Graded out pretty well on PFF, I haven't been able to find much film on him, but of what I did see, his change of direction when going after the QB was shockingly good. QB quickly changed directions and Byrd surprising perfectly change with it like it was nothing.
The traditional 3-4 defense that asked all 3 DL to run clog and just let the LBers fly around, I feel like Byrd would of been a perfect 3-4 Edge for that scheme, of course it's extinct in the NFL now, but he's sorta a tweener between Edge and LB.
