2012 - Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin, Ryan Tannehill, Brandon Weeden
2018 - Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Josh Allen, Josh Rosen, Lamar Jackson
2020 - Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, Tua Tagovailoa, Jordan Love
2021 - Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields, Mac Jones
I put this up for two reasons.
1. The 2020 Draft is the exception, not the norm. It's so rare to have a single draft class with so many good starting QBs
2. The 2024 Draft will likely join this group with Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels and JJ McCarthy all expected to go top 15. But given the percent chance of a R1 QB succeeding in the league, I'd be stunned if more than one team is happy with the QB they draft.
Caleb is a talented QB and Chicago has a solid infrastructure to make him successful
The Washington roster and coaching staff is about as MEH as you can get. I think Drake has the best chance to succeed but that's a bad supporting cast
If Minnesota trades up to draft JJ McCarthy, I think he COULD work. Great supporting cast and McCarthy wouldn't need to start right away. But McCarthy's film doesn't scream future long-term starter to me.
And Jayden Daniels I just don't get. His skills and his flaws just don't translate to the pro level.
