I surely didn't get the OL that I wanted too, the Packers would probably need to sign some more OL. Maybe see if Bakhtiari and Lucus Patrick would be willing to re-sign for cheap.
#25 CB Wiggins
Seems like an elite CB (or OL) very well could drop to #25, Wiggins is elite in coverage, and has sub 4.3 speed, but while he's tall, he's extremely light which could hd Gute off.
#41 Saints' GM Mickey Loomis (GM since 2002) being his standard over aggressive self, is lacking some picks so he trades future picks to make up for it. Packers move down four spots, lose a 2025 7th and gain a 2025 3rd. In case you are wondering, Saints got NT Sweat from Texas.
#45 DE Robinson
Packers like their power edge rushers, Robinson like Van Ness was at DT a while. Robinson is 6'5" 285lb and I believe would have the longest arms on the team. Robinson is elite in run stopping, which is normally not what you look for in an edge rusher, but it lets someone else rush and be the 3rd down specialist which is where ZaDairius and Gary have dominated as they were slowly coming back from injury. And Robinson has potential as a pass rusher too, it's just his pass rush plan is too predictable and he needs more moves, which is something that can be developed.
#58 RB Brooks
Recovering from ACL tear, but potentially the best RB before the injury. Outstanding spatial awareness to create maximum work space as a runner, getting comparisons to RB Jamaal Charles.
#88 OL Amegadjie
The scouting reports seem to agree that Amegadjie has all the physical potential in the world (including LT) but he's undeveloped. He has started the last couple of seasons at LT, but started at RG before that. If he can compete for starting RG, let him compete, if he's not ready, then work him at development for LT.
#91 FS Taylor-Demerson
Smaller than preferred at 5'10" 195lb, but he's got speed, coverage and instincts to play deep FS or slot CB. May never be the best tackler, but it won't be from lack of effort. Sometimes he's over aggressive, but has 4.4 speed to help him make up for a misstep.
#126 I attempted to target a couple of guys (including a LB from Ohio State), and wanted more than one pick, so I find the Saints again as a trade partner, this time Packers trade #126 and #255 for the Saints #150, #175. And it mostly didn't work, as the guy I targeted for selected earlier than their draft rank. But I think I still got decent players. For those wondering, Saints got RB Jaylen Wright from Tennessee.
#150 SS Oladapo
Packers got a FS earlier, now they get a SS. I'm partly assuming the Packers will be playing a cover 3, if so, Oladapo could be a good candidate to play a SS Kam Chancellor like role, dropping into the box, a bit of a free lancer, with great tackling skills. Though they need to keep slot WRs type of of Oladapo as with his longer legs, he struggles to quickly change directions.
#169 CB Jones
Come from Boston College out Defensive Coordinator should know him well. Again, I'm assuming cover 3 here, as Jones seems to struggle in off-man and his specialty seems like it'll be press man coverage 3, bump and run like a Richard Sherman. Though Jones isn't as physically as Sherman and it's unclear if he's as smart as Sherman.
#175 DT Boyd
I did get one of the players I targeted in the trade back, Boyd, whom I feel is underrated and again, Packers like themselves physical pass rushers and that's what Boyd is. He dominated small schools but some questions on how well that will translate to the NFL, but he didn't seem to have any issues at the East-West Shine game keeping it up.
#202 Edge/LB/STs Cole
Cole is 6'6", 280lb, ran a 4.65 in the 40 (which could be a good time for a 250lber) and his arms are almost 37" (35" is great)... he's a freak athlete. The problem is that he's not a great football player at the edge, I think despite his size, he's just not mentally willing to be physical enough for a DL role. I think his ideal spot would be an off-ball 3-4 OLB, but the scheme that has that is dead as far as the NFL is concerned. I think off ball LB is the closer role that would fit him, but again, he's 6'6" 280lbs. But if you could ask him to lose some of that weight, I think he could be a hell of an athlete. Even with the weight, I think he could become a stud on STs.
#219 WR Johnson
I almost picked him at #202, Johnson is tall 6'3", large 210 lbs, fast 4.44, tough, strong, physical ... so why is he falling to the 7th? Two very important reasons, his route running looks like crap (which is putting it nicely) and he needs to do a better job of finding and catching the ball, both of which might be the two more important things for a WR. That being said he can fill the role of WR blocker and deep speed decoy very well, and he should be good on STs.
#245 MLB Watson
Simply put, old school LB that you don't want to see in coverage, but going forward, he can be great, weather it's stopping the run or blitzing.
