Texans traded a 2nd rounder (in 2025) for WR Diggs, sounds like he had 4 years on his deal and they agree to make it a 1 year, $22.5 million deal.
I just don't understand trading a high draft pick for a guy on a one year deal (unless you agreed on an extension).
Now, giving more context, the Bills are clearly rebuilding and some have said Diggs supposedly clearly isn't the player he used to be, which is why the Bills were willing to trade Diggs, a 6th and 2025 5th... for only a 2025 5th.
I guess the Texans feel like they are okay with potentially either losing him, or Franchise tagging him of they have to.
But Texans got themselves some upgrades this off-season for sure.
