Grabbing a QB they like and developing him over the next 2-3 years is going to pay off for Atlanta. They get to work on his footwork , throwing motion and fitting in to the offense. He is under no real pressure as he improves his pass defense reads. He works with his center and the RBs and all the pass catchers not just the 1s. He gets to advance his skills and experience without the threat of being decapitated trying to learn their offense and making the quickest decisions as the 1.
Pretty much the Packer way.
Unlike the Bears and other teams throwing their newbie QBs to the wolves time after time. Getting them destroyed.
