Going off purely standard roster numbers, they kept too many DL... 4-3 defenses often keep 8 or 9 DL, and they have them keeping 10.
I'm thinking they make a hard cut there, keep 9 and that spot goes to one of the following;
QB Michael Pratt
RB Emanuel Wilson
S/ST Benny Sapp
QB Pratt because supposedly they're trying to develop multiple QBs and let them become trade bait. And while yes they could put #3 on the PS, since the new PS rules allowing them to play 2 or 3 games during the season, Gute has given a lot of his draft picks a redshirt year on the 53 man roster. Though to be honest, I'm a bit against the develop 3rd stringers idea, as since 2010, with the changes in the practice time and off-season time and even more strict CBA changes since we haven't really seen that many 3rd string guys develop like they used to. And QB is the most valuable position.
RB Wilson because RBs often get injured, as we saw last year with just about all the RBs getting injured at some point during the year. Keeping 4 makes sense, though also RB is seemingly the least valuable position at least for depth and one of the easier ones to find off the street.
S Sapp because as a ST gunner, he shockingly knifed though the return team and would hit the returner clearly faster than anyone else at times.
