I've never been to Wisconsin, but I'm thinking Green Bay might not have an indoor place big enough to hold the Draft and it's basically been an outdoors event.

And it's been growing most years.


Looks like Detroit had (of the reported numbers are to be believed)
Day 1: >275,000 fans
Day 2: >275,000 fans
Day 3: >150,000 fans


No NFL stadium has that legal capacity... so basically has to be outdoors.


If they did it indoors but most of the crowd was outdoors only watching it on a screen, my question would be why are they there? They could be at home watching it on a screen.


The NFL knows it's a risk and I'm sure Roger Goodell fought it from going to Green Bay as long as possible, as it's a potential nightmare in the making, huge event in a town instead of a city.
