But the answer could be because they value they NT role, which is what you're saying about Hafley. So that, in theory, is the answer.
Also, most coaches like a run stopper on the DL, and since Clark has seemingly lost some weight, Slaton is the only NT.
Personally, I think it would of been smarter to keep Clark weight up and keep him as the NT, and let someone else be the penetrating tackle. But it seems like they have moved past that.
I think Wyatt and Brooks are absolutely better at their penetration roles, I'm not sure if there as well rounded for whatever the defense throws at them. But with this scheme, I did think we'd see much less NT type role, but seems you are correct there and I was mistaken.
