One thing I have wondered about: I've heard poster after poster here saying "LaFleur needs to get the discipline under control". My question: These players (all of them presumably) have been playing football since grade school. Basically their whole lives. At some point, you are what you are. What exactly is a coach at the NFL level supposed to do? I mean, is that something a coach can really do anything about? It seems to me that being mentally disciplined (i.e., not error-prone) is a basic, inner character trait - either you are or you aren't. I'm wondering whether the only real solution to that problem is 'get players who have that'...? I mean, I'm sure LaFleur isn't going out there every practice and saying "OK, guys, today we're going to practice committing offsides". Also, I suspect that the limits on practice time due to the current CBA probably limits what they could do about it also...
