Well he was probably going to be released at the end of the season anyways, due to contract.


As for pass rush, Van Ness has the worst pass rush grade and Smith is 2nd worst. Smith was much much better in run defense and tackling than pass rushing this year.

Some simply think Preston didn't fit the new scheme well, which seems to be asking the DEs to run stop more and the DTs to pass rush more. We need better DL for this scheme.


Packers are hoping that Enagbare, Van Ness, Mosby and Cox are ready to step it up.
