I can mostly agree with you, and the one that's in my head, the heel clearly hit and I felt like it should be a catch as the toe was not immediately coming down with it, but then the toe came down and was out.

If they called that a catch I would of been find with it and it would of been consistent with this shin call. But the NFL or their refs didn't rule that way.


The one point I MIGHT disagree with you, is that when a player is deemed as falling down, the play is not stopped the second it happens, as the player still has to maintain control of the ball.

But of course they just have to maintain control, NOT maintain control in bounds. So that doesn't effect the plays we're discussing, which might be why it was left out, for simplicity and focus on the plays on hand.



Just overall, I'll say I feel the heel non-catch, was more inbounds to me than this shin catch. And they're wrongly inconsistent. I think I could go either direction on them, if the ruling was consistent.
