I think there are plenty of prospects around #23 that are similar in quality to anything available by doing a reasonable trade; therefore, this is one year I wouldn't favor trading up. I feel like we would have to give up too much in order to move up far enough to get a player significantly better than what will be available to us if we stand pat. This team has multiple needs to fill; IMO giving up picks this year isn't a good idea.

Only way I'd consider it would be if someone unexpectedly fell far below where they deserve to be taken - for example, if Abdul Carter was sitting there at 20, I'd be SCREAMING to trade up and get him. But I highly doubt that happens.

Far more likely scenario for this year, I believe, is trading down a few spots, gaining an extra pick, and still getting a similarly-rated player.
