Night fishing for Walleyes above a local dam. We were fishing on top a big chunk of bed rock and the water was about ten feet below.
I have a nice size fish on and started to get down to the water.
They lit the trail from above with a flash light.
I make it down to the edge and I got the fishes head into the long grass and I grabbed the head.

Instantly that thrashing fish Slid up and wrapped its self around my arm to my upper bicep. And it’s WAY slimy.

I never got WTF out, it was a whhaaaaa raising in pitch as I tried to shake it off while my feet were doing some thing close to a river dance back and away from what ever that F that is.

At the time only flash I had of it was as it wrapped around my arm and it sure as hell wasn’t a walleye I could see that green color.
I’ve seen alien things in movies that look better at the time. Specially the fins on top and bottom.

I don’t think I’ve night fished since.
