They used some conflicting words, but I think what they meant was the "Nike Rivalry Uniforms" will be worn for the first home game against a division rivals.

The "Nike Rivalry Uniforms" will be a “community-inspired” uniform (whatever that means).


To me it looks like they basically did it be NFL media market size.

Year 1: Getting NYC and Los Angeles
Year 2: Getting Chicago and Houston (which apparently is the biggest AFC media market that doesn't share their stadium with another team)
